Just taken delivery of this jacket so can't comment on how it performs until later. Initial impressions are very favourable. Extremely well made and seems durable and tough. Belt is flimsy and not up to the quality of the rest of the jacket so lets it down somewhat. Manufacturer needs to change the belt as in my view it ruins a nice jacket. Sizing.... I am a 51" chest so ordered an XL which from their chart is a 52" chest. Fits me perfectly. The jacket does not feel or look any different with, or without, the winter liner. Don't forget to undo the two buttons near the waist and the two buttons on the inside sleeves before you yank the liner out. Liner folds down surprisingly small for travelling. Chest pockets could be a bit bigger I suppose. All outside pockets have fold over bellows tops which will prevent anything getting in once closed - a necessary touch but not mentioned in the marketing blurb - I'd have sent the jacket back if it didn't have them. Pockets are lined. Neck fits ok with no large gaps and is adjustable by the strap. Wrists are snug and also zipped and stud fastened with a bellows under the opening. Reminds me of an updated version of my old Barbour which is still going strong somewhere on a person much slimmer than me. Very impressed with this jacket and I'm looking forward to giving it a blast next week when I pick my new bike up. Update as at 23/07/21: A one hour ride in heavy rain on mixed roads convinced me that this jacket really is waterproof and well worth the money. I keep it on a coat hook and the other half wondered what all the marks on the walls were - the wax has marked all the emulsion on the wall! A ride yesterday in around 22 centigrade on a sunny day resulted in a waxy pair of jeans and the back of my seat covered in beeswax. Noticed it has washing instructions inside which say nothing about being careful about the wax coating...ha ha...so 3 goes around the washing machine and I've got rid of most of the wax...sick of it. Love the jacket - hate the mess. Probably won't be waterproof now but it I don't care any more. Update - got caught in the rain this morning....jacket doesn't shed water like it used to but none got through the fabric!! Brilliant.
