Touring Black Leather Motorcycle Jacket

I dont know why but, despite buying most things from Amazon, I had previously neglected to look for Motorcycle gear here, always ending up paying over the odds from traditional motorcycle retailers. Well, what a revelation, this jacket is the biz. Soft leather, great fit and look and comfortable, with armour in all the right places and at an amazing price. 100% recommend.

This looks to have been a great choice. I'm 6'0 and 84kg with a 38-40' chest and the Large fits me great with the removable armour in. The arm length is perfect. The colour is great too and it is thick leather. It also can be worn as a normal jacket when you've got the armour out. It does smell very leathery (surprise!) which whilst I personally don't mind it (in fact quite like it), I can see why some commented on it. But aren't they all going to smell? Obviously, I have no idea (yet) if it would prove robust in a slide but it looks like it would perform even though it's only Type B, Level 1-rated. I guess it's pitched at the casual and fashionable user, where safety is considered but form rates higher than function. I'm very happy and would buy again.

For the winter I tend to wear a Neoprene Textile jacket which is great for the cold wet days but is not going to win any style points. So with a 'certain' birthday upon me I decided to go retro and get a leather this time in Brown. This jacket looks absolutely fantastic, the subtle distressed fading immediately gives it a slightly worn in look. With the stitched padding along the shoulders and elbows it already offers a degree of protection but with the supplied armoured pads for the joints this really will keep you as safe as it is possible to. The large spinal board is similarly going to be there for the hopefully never occur eventuality, but the edging feels more subtly contoured than on my previous leather. The leather itself feels a good thickness so should be again as protective as one would hope for. The fit is generous, especially if you don't need the removable lining in the warmer months, so do look at the sizing chart on the listing. The collar is a little stiff and with the zip coming right up to the top it can catch the skin when doing shoulder checks but with a scarf to seal off the air flow this won't be an issue. I wanted a retro look and this really does give it. A great jacket I can thoroughly recommend.

Expectations were high from reviews with "free" returns so why not , perfect jacket all round with good padding CE or whatever , can be removed for casual wear if that's a thing , nice leather not for vegans though stitching is high quality, zip single layer not designed to be waterproof and why should it be who wears leathers in the wet ? Size 2XL though I'm a XL in clothing this fits so well on the shoulders more than XL jackets belly wise it was perfect and comfy not tight - it's a loose fit and best appreciated when on the bike , wear a snood its low cut on the neck find it less constricting (61 Honda 500F rider ) .

I’ve tried a number of jackets for motorcycling, but this has to be the best. A really good fit, good protection, good leather, good (removable) quilt lining, strong zips and 5 pockets. Now I know that there are a couple of niggles from other reviewers - one zip not two on the main zipped front (I can put up with that as it’s only waist length not hip length); collar let’s in drafts (put on a scarf or roll down a hood - in the heat of summer, you will want some air flow). So I will ignore the niggles. To me, this is the best jacket I’ve had (I emphasise - for summer use!) I have other heavier, thicker jackets for use in the depths of a bad winter. I highly recommend this item - well done Texpeed!!

Well I read some of the reviews all seem good so I used the size chart and took advice of supplier and order the next size up came next day opened package and wow to my surprise it fitted looks great on and good deep pockets and quality thanks

The jacket is perfect the quality of the leather and stitching is excellent. The weight of the jacket confirms the quality with ykk zips and cost of jacket I would recommend to everyone to purchase as these are proper motorcycling jackets with armour not a fashion jacket.

Love this jacket for riding on a sunny day. Looks the part, feels the part. A bit stiff when brand new but to be expected, once it loosened up it's brilliant to ride in.

Look, if you want top end you have to pay top end. That said, I'd buy another of these even if I have 3 times the budget. It fits me perfectly at 85kg, 6ft a got an xl whereas I'd normally get a L. Happy I did.

I bought the jacket for my younger brother, originally I bought a size XL, but that was too tight so then I ordered a 2XL, returning the other jacket, I think it only cost me a few pounds to return, I am just waiting refunding, I did I little bit of research when I bought the jacket, most advised conditioning before wearing, so I put a thin layer of cherry oil conditioner on the leather so that it is both soft and waterproof.

Super!!! Even more than I was expected!!!

I wanted a summer / good looking fashion riding jacket. This covers those bases at a great price. The quality is very good, a bit too good as it is a bit heavy for a fashion item. However you can remove the armour quickly so it's not to bad. Overall a great product, good looking, good value on the price point. All zips etc are of good heavy duty quality. What's not to like?

To say I'm happy is an understatement. To find out how happy I am, buy one yourself. Sizing is bang on , quality is fantastic and design is very fit for purpose. Delivery via Amazon prime and price is great . I was concerned I might have to return (cause of neck size) so brought via Amazon for thier returns policy. This wasn't required (hint hint) .

So it's good quality leather smells and looks nice showed up fast etc... But the first jacket was far to big in the arms I would need a medium ( normally a large) for this to fit as intended, this is not good as it could slip if I fall off, Is dded this to my review and to there credit bikewear direct got in touch and got. Me sorted I now have a jacket that fits like a glove such good quality and brilliant customer service. My other checked jacket by the same brand is brilliant as well.

I had to remove the armour as I’m not able to currently ride a motorcycle, but once I put it on after that, WOW!!! A great fit and feel. I love it.

Its very nice thick leather for great protection. Could easily mistake for a £300+ leather jacket. In fact it’s very similar to my Harley jacket! Going to return for another size though. I forgot to measure my gut so pay attention to the size chart folks.

Great heavy leather jacket

I couldn't believe the weight of this jacket when it arrived. I have other leather bike jackets and they don't seem as heavy as this one. It's fully armoured as advertised. It includes a removeable inner liner for those chilly mornings. I've not worn it yet, just tried it on but really hoping to get on my bike in the next few days

I'm a 46 chest with 42 waist so bought the Brown 2XL. Great fit, snug but room to add a full microfleece if needed. The jacket is thick and heavy offering good protection. After a week, the jacket has softened and moulded to my body making it feel even better. The armour is about 15mm thick and marked EN 1621-2 2014. It sits in the correct places and is not noticeable when riding although the spine pad has a visible outline when you reach forward to the bars. The only thing its missing is a double ended front zipper so you can loosen it slightly when riding. Overall an excellent purchase.

I hesitated so much before making my decision, which jacket to buy and from whom. Eventually, I plumped for this one and I am so pleased that I did. Delivery was quick and safe. Sizing is spot on. I'm a 42 chest and ordered a large. On the button. The leather feels really good quality. Stitching is solid and well done throughout. The armour is good quality for Class 1 (general use). This is a proper bikers jacket, not one of those fashion jackets that LOOK like a bike jacket. I thoroughly recommend this seller and the jacket. The zips are proper YKK heavy duty and 'zip' perfectly. The lining zips out for summer use. It's not a winter jacket and I didn't purchase it for that. I wanted a leather jacket that looked good (vintage), fitted well, was comfortable and moved with me on the bike and could take extra layers underneath if the weather was a bit iffy. This does the job great. I am very pleased!

Excellent leather for under £100. I am a bit old school and prefer a leather jacket to its textile equivalent. So for me this is a classy, heavy hide bike leather of excellent quality. I find the waist a little loose .. I had size medium and am a 32" waist. But I understand this won't be a problem for most ! LIke all good bike leathers, the leather is such heavy quality it will take a while to truly break in and fit like a glove. Can't wait. Love it.

I was a little sceptical about buying this jacket due to the low price but bought it based on the reviews. I'm so glad I did as the quality of the jacket is fantastic. You can smell the leather and there is some weight to the jacket which I like. Overall one of the best motorcycle jackets I've bought and would definitely recommend to others. I've had quite a few compliments about how the jacket looks too. Would certainly buy again.

Great product. Heavy leather with good stitching and zippers. Built to last. The leather appears to be treated, so is good for a year before dubin needs to be applied to keep the water out As I struggled to decide on the size let me add this. The sizing table is correct. I am a 43 chest and normally take XL jackets, however I decided to trust the table and ordered a L. Perfect fit. I can even get my thin biker jumper underneath, with the winter lining in. Its snug Nd comfortable. Perfect for a cool day. A bit looser once the lining is out. Great for summer. Even with the armour in, its comfortable enough to wear around town. Honestly, best jacket buy for a long time. Quality, bike protection and casual all in one. Thanks Texpeed
